First Record Union releases delivered to Spotify!

Dear ladies, gentlemen, comrades, friends and fellow human beings. Record Union is excited to announce that our first few releases have made their way onto the Spotify service! We are extremely pleased to be working with Spotify, and look forward to making it easy and straightforward for independent artists to get their music onto this revolutionary service.  The first 2 releases are - drum roll please! – “Nightfly” by Andreas Agurré, and “Long time comin´” by Motherpearl.
This is a pinnacle moment for Record Union, and just the beginning of our vision to democratize the access to digital distribution.

When will you upload our music to Spotify? /Blue in Green

  5. Alex Says:

Fantastic news. Say I added an album now, how long would you expect that to be available on Spotify?

Can the UPC codes you sell be printed on the CD packaging to sell in shops?

  6. admin Says:

@Hawkan @ Alex - If you have uploaded your release and published it, at the moment it will take somewhere between 3-5 weeks to be listed on the Spotify service.

@Alex - Yes, you can use the UPC on CD packaging to sell in shops, you can add a “0″ in front of the UPC to get a corresonding EAN code : )

    best,

When will Ashley Best’s album ‘SO COLOURFUL’ go live on Spotify ?

  13. Eugene/Sputnikas Says:

Better explain us why record union do not have any records in itunes ??

  14. admin Says:

Hey there! Some of our releases are already uploaded into iTunes such as Andreas Agurré, Temilia and Audiosphere. You can check them out if you search the iTunes store. It all depends on how long it takes iTunes/Spotify etc to ingest the content but your music is being delivered and will be available within the time period we specify for the service.

  15. Mats Johansson Says:

Thanks a lot! My music is already available on Amazon, Lala and iTunes. Looking forward to join Spotify.

    Well done!

  16. Dr. Sounds Says:

Why does some partners put the conent to the public very fast while other takes time to invest the content before publishing?

  17. Eugene/Sputnikas Says:

    admin.
Recordunion have 247 albums released in this moment and only 2 of them we can find in itunes?
And even these releases are not available on itunes australia ( i have mailed you before).
    How you can explain it?

  18. admin Says:

    @Eugene/Sputnikas -

Hello again! Many of the releases (including yours) that have been uploaded via Record Union have made their way onto itunes, and those which havent will be up there soon. All the releases uploaded onto our server are sent to our partners immediately for listing, but some of our partners simply take longer than others before the music becomes available. This is out of our hands.

When it comes to territories, unless otherwise specified in the metadata, we dsitribute to the territory “world”. If a release is for some reason not available in a certain territory and it should be, we will investigate where the fault lies and fix it as soon as possible.

We would be grateful if you directed any further questions/issues to: info@recordunion.com, or alternatively go to the support forum at http://www.getsatisfaction.com/record_union.

    thanks!

  19. Eugene/Sputnikas Says:

    So where is the answer?
Why only 2 albums from 247 are available on itunes?
For example let’s check album number 09:
    https://www.recordunion.com/Music/Album/09
    Released 30.5.2009

And after 6 - 7 weeks still not available on itunes?

Personally me will waiting for 4 weeks, and if I will not find my album in ALL itunes, just will open dispute via paypal.

  20. admin Says:

    @Eugene/Sputnikas.

Sorry, but the album you have cited above is on iTunes. And after checking i assure you that your album is also on itunes. We would be happy to send the links to these and other albums on itunes, but we feel this is not really the place to do this. We will send an email to you shortly so we can continue this discussion. Have a great day!

Record Union is awesome!! Thanks for being what U are!

  22. benjazz77 Says:

My content has been delivered to most of the top download sites including itunes via record union, which is great! Thanks for that! However it is not yet on spotify. I notice you have 165 tracks on spotify so far. I am guessing that they are slower in uploading content. Could you give us an idea of when we should expect our music to be on spotify? Is there a problem their end?
    Thanks for a great service!

  23. admin Says:

Hi Ben! Thanks for your kind words. At the moment, the lead time until uploaded music lands on spotify is a little unpredictable, and we cant give you an exact timeframe. We expect it to land on Spotify within the 4-6 weeks we specify for uploaded releases to land on our partners. However, we do know that there is ALOT of music waiting to be uploaded on the Spotify service, and this may be effecting the lead time of Record Union releases. If it has been 6 weeks, it should be up there soon!

  24. Marcus Says:

Hey! Where can I find the different Record Union artists on Spotify?
