New Spotify release: Updated!
As we mentioned last week, Spotify has added another whopping 24,907 albums to their catalogue - thats 229,221 tracks! Within this upload were 87 Record Union releases, which means we contributed 660 tracks to this particular upload, giving us a grand total of over nearly 2000 tracks on the service! We also seem to be the most popular upload-based distributor in Europe delivering to Spotify, with far more releases than competing services. Hi Sajmon! Spotify usually add music to their catalogue on a weekly basis, so hopefully there will be another release this week.

Great report!
If you haven’t noticed this already, not all of Record Unions artists list Record Union as their label. Maybe not a problem but good to know if you filter the list…

Yep! thats correct Hasse. Record Union is only listed as label if artists leave this field blank in the metadata, artists who leave it blank wont come up in label search ; )

How often does itunes add new songs? Are they among the ones that are taking more time to add Record Union-songs?

Nope, no mass release on spotify last week. We are expecting there to be one this week though. The lead time to Spotify varies alot, but yes, they usually have one of the longer lead times - same goes for iTunes, though as said, it varies!
