New releases on Spotify: Updated!
Just a quick post to let you know that selection of Record Union releases made their onto Spotify when they updated their catalogue yesterday. Among these was the much anticipated release by Hajen! We have added all the releases on Spotify´s offical list on the following spreadsheet. However, please note that we have recieved reports of new releases not listed on the spreadsheet actually being included in the last update, so you might want to double check whether your release is live!

Why did I not get added? do I have to wait like 5 spotify releases? Do you choose wich ones that will be realesed or does it randomly select?

Interesting! well perhaps not all the Record Union releases are included in Spotify´s last announcement - we will look into it and post an updated list soon! thanks for letting us know!

@Sajmon
Hi Sajmon! We do not choose what order releases are added to the Spotify catalogue. However, they are usually added within the 4-6 weeks Record Union specifies for releases to make their way onto our partners.

My first realese also hit Spotify now, it did take about 3 months though and its not on the spreadsheet. And the songs cant be played for some reason, everyone gets the same error “There is a problem with your connection to spotify, please try again later”. Hope it’s a temporary problem though

@Audiosphere
Thanks for your patience! Yes, in some cases releases dont get added in chronological order, as in your case. We apologies for this and working to get this fixed.
We will look into why your tracks cant be played, though you may want to get into contact with Spotify about this.

The list is not accurate, two of the band I’ve signed was released on Spotify over the weekend.
Plector - Dark & Spieful: spotify:album:3CBkJMHuhATs1bJdBOJX7w
Peter Matthew Kasen - Veer: spotify:album:0d88lfXc2aluXD667Uk7Fh
I’ve also started to become more and more concerned how they release music on Spotify. Ophidian Forest’s album Redbad was released on Record Union 7.7.2009 (9 weeks) and Joachim Willumsen’s EP Northern Heart Western Soul was released on Record Union 23.7.2009 (7 weeks). Neither of them are released on Spotify yet!!!
Please look into this and get back to me as soon as you have something.
All the best,
Hasse

Yes, thanks Hasse. We are on the case. As you know, we cant at the moment control which order Spotify choses Record Union releases in their catalogue. We are working to get the releases added in the order of their distribution, like with out other partners. Sometimes, releases simply get left behind : (. Please bear with us, and sorry for the inconvenience.

@admin,
It’s not your fault, I know you do all you can.
But if they say 4-6 weeks you sure have a good reason to do some serious butt kicking over at their place…;)
or just give me a name and I take the next flight…

@admin
Thanks for a great service!
Thanks for the reply! Well its not your fault it took a while, and it made it to Spotify so I’m pleased. I’ve e-mailed spotify about the problems and hope they resolve it quickly

Thanks for the understanding guys. Spotify have no easy task them either, but it is clear that getting lead times sorted is of the highest priority!

@admin
This may concern you too, I got an answer from Spotify about the problems with my songs… And I got this answer from the support
“We are very sorry that you are experiencing this problem, this has happened to many new releases. We have had some problems with our storage during the summer. For certain tracks it is possible to search for the track, but there is no file with music behind it… We are doing our best to fix this and hope to have it done very soon”
