Cool! One question though, is it possible to find a reason to why our “old” EP was uploaded but not the new and “better sounding” one? Will the “If We Were an Addiction”-release be released later or is it refused by Spotify? I uploaded both to Record Union at the same time. // Comfort Addict

Why is there that some albums are released onto spotify when there are other albums that did not relase on spotify, but had been relased on record union a whole month before them?

@Cyrusgbg You are more than welcome! : )
@Per & Comfort addict - did you request a takedown for your old release? If so, it make take some time before this release is removed and the new one put in place. If a new UPC was used, it shouldnt be refused by Spotify and should be up soon.
@Fredriksson - we do not control wich releases are added and when, most of our other partners add the releases chronologically but this is not always the case for Spotify.

@ Fred: No, I uploaded both of those as “New” releases with two separates codes the very same day. But I guess my question was the same as Fredriksson, just wanted to know if it had been refused or not.

Hi! Just wondering why not our release has been published on spotify. Our release has been accepted by both iTunes Store and LastFM, 7digital etc. How come were not included in this release`?
November 3rd, 2009 at 9:20 pm
I have to admit that I’m bit dissapointed why our tracks didn’t make it to the Spotify because it seems that allmost everyone elses tracks did… aargh… Well better luck next time…
It is such a same to inform all the people that sorry there’s no Spotify tracks available this time…

Why arent releases on Record Union anvaliable in the swedish 7digital store when it’s anvaliable in the international stories? It must be a bug since I didn’t exclude swedish territory on the releases.

@drsounds thanks for letting us know, we will contact 7digital and see what the problem is asap.

When will my release be added to Spotify?
I´ve been waiting for over two months now.
November 4th, 2009 at 11:09 am
@Wester
It is hard to say. We distribute your release within a day of it being published on the website. It arrives at our partners in a matter of days. After this, we have no control when it is actually added to their catalog. In most cases, it is within the 4-6 weeks we set, but with Spotify it can in some cases take longer. If it was distributed 8 weeks ago, then one can hope it is on the next update. Spotify might have more information concerning your release, so you might want to contact them. Sorry we cant be of more help.

@Fred,
Wester has been waiting 9 weeks and is (beside Joachim Willumsen and Ophidian Forest with their errors) the one who have been waiting longest of them in my roster.
November 4th, 2009 at 12:45 pm
@Hasse Hi Hasse. We share your frustation, but as you know there is nothing we can do to speed up the process. In the future and once any delayed releases have been published, the normal timeframe of 4-6 weeks should resume.
November 4th, 2009 at 1:31 pm
I know that, and now Wester and all the other bands and artists on my roster know that too. Just showing some support here mate.
November 4th, 2009 at 2:36 pm
@Hasse Thats cool buddy, i know you are standing up for your artists, and as always you are doing a good job! : )

November 4th, 2009 at 11:23 pm
10 more today, that make it 19 releases from my roster in two days!!!
And Wester’s is up as well!!

We´ve been waiting since june for one release to come out on Spotify. It´s so far beyond acceptable that it gets.
November 5th, 2009 at 3:09 pm
@Hari and Aino You are right, this is completely unnacceptable. We will contact Spotify immediately and see what has happened with your release.
November 5th, 2009 at 7:24 pm
Hi again! I was pleased to see that our release had been uploaded but without its cover art?!?! Anyway, thanks alot!
November 5th, 2009 at 7:33 pm
@Johnny & I not quite sure what you mean, where does your release not have coverart? can you please provide a link?
November 5th, 2009 at 8:00 pm
Our release didnt have its coverart on Spotify, until now. I suppose someone fixed it. Thanks Record Union, you are the best.

Brilliant, my Love Sex Magic remix finally made it onto Spotify! It seems that they messed with the title before doing it though. In any case, great service again!

@Fred Thank you! We´ve been in contact with people both at Record Union and the content manager at Spotify but nothing happens. Catch 22.
