Change in policy concerning distribution to Beatport

Happy Easter everybody. We would like to inform you that there has been a change in policy for record labels who would like to distribute their music to Beatport via Record Union. Labels who are interested in getting their music on Beatport are now required to provide us with some basic information and themselves and their artists, which we can then send over to Beatport for consideration. If approved, your releases will be delivered and listed on Beatport when you publish them on the Record Union website. Please note that only releases with dance/electronic as the primary genre will be delivered to Beatport.

To make your label eligible for distribution to Beatport, please send the following information to content(at)recordunion.com.

•    URL link to website/MySpace
•    Description of your label
•    Basic info about your artists/releases, upcoming releases and future plans
•    500 x 500 pixel logo

As you may know, Beatport have a unique policy for screening music and until now Record Union has only been able to release a select amount of releases on Beatport. We hope this new system will make it easier  and more efficient for dance/electronic labels on Record Union to get their music onto the Beatport store.

we went through this process a while back and our label is listed on beatport but they don’t seem to publish any of our releases. they also seem to have a zero return calls / emails policy because i have not been able to reach anyone in almost a year to find out what we need to be doing.
