Is there a way to sell a cover version in other countries without having to reach a deal with 100+ organizations? Is there a European counterpart of Limelight, for example?

Would be interested to know.

The new functionality Spotify has added recently is definitely a great step forward for the independent musician, For example, the new stream of what your friends is listening to could be a new important way for artists to get more exposure as they get highlighted to all friends automatically when someone listen to it. There are also other gems that could make the life easier for artists who want to promote themselves. As you now more can search for other people’ playlists within the Spotify client within Spotify, you’ll able to promote yourselves by creating public playlists that you give great names. For example, if your music is similar to Madonna, just put your music together with some gems of Madonna into an playlist and call it something like ‘Madonna favorites’, and your music will be exposure to more people than before!

I still don't really understand this payment routine.

It's now the 9th and not much is going on, it looks like a small amount of royalties have been creeping in the past couple of days but only for one album. Plus it looks like the figures from past months have changed in the account history. What's going on?!

I could really do with an accurate payment estimation each month.

Cheers,
Jerome
