Dear friends. We pleased to inform you that Spotify updated their catalogue again yesterday with 184,795 tracks. This time 124 Record Union releases were added to the Spotify catalogue, a total of 962 tracks! We had reports that some releases were missing from in Spotify´s official list of Saturdays releases, and we think that these are now included todays delivery. You will find all the new releases in the following spreadsheet! Again, we have delivered more music than any other European independent digital distributor! Happy time!

As we mentioned last week, Spotify has added another whopping 24,907 albums to their catalogue - thats 229,221 tracks! Within this upload were 87 Record Union releases, which means we contributed 660 tracks to this particular upload, giving us a grand total of over nearly 2000 tracks on the service! We also seem to be the most popular upload-based distributor in Europe delivering to Spotify, with far more releases than competing services. You can now see a full list of the new releases by checking out this spreadsheet. Otherwise please see below to see a list of the artists whose music was included in this release!

Dear friends, a few weeks ago we blogged about Morton Valence, an intriguing pop band based in London who have been getting amazing reviews from all over. This is just a quick note to let you know that you can now listen to their single “Chandelier” on Spotify. It was recently featured as BBC 2´s single of the week. Hope you like!
Record Union are big fans of Morton Valence, not just because of their music, which we think is fantastic, but because they embody the independent spirit. Morton Valence can surely be considered as part of the new music generation, using the possibilities in a changing music environment to empower themselves and their art.

There was a lot of buzz surrounding Swedish rocker Nomy´s release of his album “Song or Suicide” on Spotify, and it definately wasnt hollow. Since arriving on Spotify, his album has been performing seriously well, with his hit “Cocaine” pulling the same popularity rating than the song of the same title by Eric Clapton. Record Union are really pleased for Nomy, and we are glad his album is now accessible to the many Spotify listeners who were awaiting its arrival on the service. You can check out what all the fuss is about and listen to Nomy´s album at the following Spotify link.

Dear ladies, gentlemen, comrades, friends and fellow human beings. Record Union is excited to announce that our first few releases have made their way onto the Spotify service! We are extremely pleased to be working with Spotify, and look forward to making it easy and straightforward for independent artists to get their music onto this revolutionary service. The first 2 releases are - drum roll please! – “Nightfly” by Andreas Agurré, and “Long time comin´” by Motherpearl.
This is a pinnacle moment for Record Union, and just the beginning of our vision to democratize the access to digital distribution.
