On Tuesday June 2nd, Record Union is standing in solidarity with the black community, our artists and peers in the music industry, by observing Blackout Tuesday.
This is a day to collectively reflect on how we as a company can educate ourselves and take long-term action in the continued combat against racial injustice.
However, we’ll be releasing music as normal. We don’t own the rights to the music of our community and therefore we don’t believe we have the right to do otherwise, just for us to take a stand.
Additionally, we’ve decided to pause planned socials and marketing efforts and activities this week to show our support for the black community and turn our attention to this important issue.
